iPhone in Bahrain

Hello Everybody, Ramadan Kareem! Kol 3am Intom Be5ar Anyways... Today I want to post a special event which you've seen in Youtube in July 29th. Yes I'm talking about iPhone!

On September 18th we've heared that the iPhone will be releasing in November 9th which means a month and more.. But what about Bahrain? Well today let me answer you're question !

On the iPhone Keynote Steve Jobs himself told everyone that the iPhone in Asia will be in 2008, You might be saying Bahrain is in Asia. But were getting closser want to know why? Because Bahrain is very near the Europe and only 7 hours far from us. November 9 on Europe and heres when the special event about the iPhone in Bahrain and its on..

December or January, Not just in Bahrain in the holl middle east (Gulf).
So my theory would be that first it goes to dubai, they fix it and do it GSM or already did in Europe. Since Dubai gets the american products it comes to the other gulf countries. So In Bahrain maybe I'm saying Maybe! that Inshallah it might be in the last days of 2007 or the begging of 2008.

lets just hope that the gulf countries are going to have a revoulitionary mobile phone, best ipod ever, and best internet in our pockets!

The iPhone is currently available in Bahrain through iMachines (17574333) but it only works on Batelco chips.

Is this a US unlocked iPhone? If so, was this a software unlock or a hardware one? Any idea about the price?

its a software unlock. I'm not sure how much they're going for now but it works very very well

Thats nice to hear, but what about warranty ? thats another thing one might worry about.

Thanks for the welcome. No, it does not come with a warranty but has been working very well recently. YouTube, Google Maps and the WiFi functionality are spot on. Plus, it's beautiful :-)

I called, they said the price for an unlocked iPhone is 370BD thats around $1000.
