Hello people,

I've lived in Bahrain for about a year now and I have yet to see any sort of an underground scene. Granted the people in my university are representatives of The Rich Snobs Club, and have no interest in underground.

Anyone know of any gigs where local bands play?

Goths in Bahrain, where the heck are you?

I might've heard of one band playing rock and metal music in Bahrain, I can't remember the exact place but I do remember that it is located in Exhibition road near Hardee's.
PS, if you found one let me know...I have a thing for metal.

I can't help you about Goth (although I see an increasing number of them )

but there is this club that I always go to, it's called (Rock Bottom Cafe)

they bring bands to play there every now and then ... you might like it

I'm a European metal head living in Bahrain for a few months at this stage. There's not many places to get some decent metal here in Bahrain that i've found but there are one or two -

Rock Bottom - Resident Band, Hip 2 Soul, Not really a rock band but they do throw in the odd RATM or Metallica song

Rocking Z's - The best i've found so far, Live resident band, cant remember what they are called name but they're quite good. In the Al Bustan hotel (just tell any taxi driver you want to go to JJ's Bar, its in the same building)

Enigma - I havent been here yet but I hear its a rock/metal place.

There's also a hard rock cafe about somewhere but you know how they are.
