Internet slowness?

I am experiencing internet slowness using my speedlight connection , best I can get is 256 kbps although I am using 1 mbps, and some website like (Lightspeed Communications: Main) is not working, I try to stop all pc’s on my house LAN and I am only using my laptop, I try different browsers and applications and still the same result, FlashGet use to give me speed near the 100 kB/s, now I am getting only 25 kB/s.

Is anyone here experiencing internet slowness?

I'm at Dubai right now attending GITEX technology week. I remember that before leaving I checked my internet and it was slow, problem is that I didn't check if other computers were using the connection. I hope this gets fixed soon.
